Activities which we had~​

Modern Calligraphy Workshop
On 16 November, 20 SoH alumni participated in a modern calligraphy workshop conducted by The Letter J Supply. At the workshop, the alumni were taught to make basic strokes and write alphabets using a traditional dip nib pen. The trainer, Joanne, also demonstrated the technique of linking the alphabets to form words. At the end of the session, each participant received a print made by Joanne as an early Christmas gift.

Tête-à-Tête with UFM100.3
In collaboration with the SoH Club and local radio station UFM100.3, the SoH Alumni Association organized a Tête-à-Tête session on 26 October at Room2F @ Esplanade Mall. The event was attended by 50 NTU alumni and students. At the session, UFM100.3 DJs Wenhong, Chengyao & Andrew, together with two senior social workers, discussed on the book “Letters to Heaven”, which is a compilation of letters contributed by Singaporeans from all works of life, to their loved ones who have passed on.

Career Workshop "What Defines Your Career? The Humanities Degree or You?
To encourage SoH students to start planning for their careers, SoH and the SoH Alumni Association organized a Career Workshop on 17 September. SoH’s designated career coach helped the students to find out what gives them a competitive edge when applying for jobs, by identifying the strengths of Humanities students. 3 alumni were also present to share about their job search journeys and career experiences.

Class of 2019 Graduation Tea Party
On 20 July 2019, the School of Humanities celebrated the upcoming convocation of the Class of 2019 at an event that featured a Dreamscape Moss Terrarium Workshop and a String Light Wiregraphy. These two workshops were selected by the graduating cohort. Aside from receiving a limited edition SoHAA laptop sleeve, graduands and alumni also got the opportunity to catch up with their school mates, seniors and juniors over a tea buffet.
