Activities which we had~
On 10 March 2018, 18 alumni got the opportunity to experience the art of wagashi making under the guidance of trainer Jessy Tran. Wagashi are traditional Japanese confections, made with red adzuki beans, white beans, short-grain rice and rice flour. At the class, the alumni got to create 8 different wagashi designs, namely apple, daisy, leaf, sakura, tulip and a range of cacti.
School of Humanities (SoH) organized a terrarium workshop for SoH undergraduate and postgraduate alumni on 27 January 2018 at Kitchener Complex. Under the guidance of Lush Glass Door, 25 SoH alumni enjoyed some fun time in gardening, building their own little garden with the Fittonia and Pilea plants provided. Each of our alumni managed to create a terrarium, which they took home as mementos after the workshop.
To end the year on a fun and energetic tone, the School of Humanities brought 22 alumni to BOUNCE Singapore for a 2-hour trampoline session on 9 December 2017. BOUNCE is Singapore’s largest adrenaline arena cum trampoline park which features different variety of trampoline zones including Asia’s first ninja-warrior-like obstacle course: X-Park. Each participant was gifted a small Christmas present, adding a festive atmosphere to the session.
