​News | Translation work involves nitpicking on words​​

​In a commentary, Geng Bowen, a doctoral student in translation at NTU, shared his experience working on translation projects for clients. He opined that translators needed to be flexible in technique, and they must thoroughly understand the original texts. If necessary, the translator should also highlight the errors in the original text. Such critique of the original text has to be rooted in facts and the clients ought to trust and support the translator.
